Albemarle, VA – On Thursday afternoon at around 2:41 pm, authorities from the Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue rushed to a motor vehicle collision on Taylors Gap Road.
The crash, involving two vehicles in a head-on impact, resulted in both drivers being taken to UVA Hospital for treatment – one for non-life-threatening injuries and the other for severe injuries. Sadly, the driver suffering from life-threatening injuries, identified as Nathaniel B. Spindel, a 32-year-old from Albemarle County, passed away due to his injuries.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated by ACPD’s Crash Reconstruction Team.
