Fugitive Returned to Allegheny County After Lengthy Search

Pittsburgh, PA – Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus reported the return of 28-year-old Yan Carlos Pichardo Cepeda to Allegheny County. Pichardo Cepeda, a New York resident, faced drug charges after being caught with suspected cocaine and fentanyl at the Greyhound Bus Station in September 2023.

Detectives from Allegheny County traveled to various New York locations in search of Pichardo Cepeda after he fled the area, eventually locating him in the Bronx on February 10th.

The cost of the extended search for Pichardo Cepeda exceeded $30,000, covering multiple trips to New York and his transportation back to Allegheny County.
