Cell Phones Forcibly Taken from Woman at Columbus Circle Subway Station

MANHATTAN, NY — Early Saturday morning, around 3:40 AM, a 23-year-old female was robbed on the northbound “1” train platform at the 59 Street/Columbus Circle station. After a verbal altercation, an unidentified male forcibly took two cell phones from the victim, causing minor injuries.

The assailant, described as approximately 5’7” tall with a dark complexion and weighing about 140 pounds, fled the scene. The victim received treatment for her injuries at Mount Sinai West and was subsequently released. Authorities are actively searching for the suspect.
