Harrisburg, PA – A 36-year-old man, Christopher “Fats” Texidor, was found guilty of smuggling thousands of pounds of marijuana worth millions of dollars through the U.S. mail from a used car lot he co-owned in Pennsylvania. The conviction included charges of trafficking over 2,200 pounds of marijuana, using a firearm in drug trafficking, and other related crimes, as per the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
His defense attorney did not immediately respond for comments on the charges levied against Texidor. Additionally, five co-defendants involved in the case have pleaded guilty and await sentencing, while a sixth co-defendant linked to the marijuana source was sentenced to 57 months in prison.
The indictment, unsealed in November 2020, details the case spanning from October 2018 to May 2020, where Texidor and his associates smuggled large quantities of marijuana into Harrisburg through mail shipments. The operation, known as the “Fastlane Group,” conducted hundreds of deliveries, utilizing a used car lot owned by Texidor as a primary location for their illegal activities.
