Former president praises new jersey gop candidate who called him a failure

TRENTON, NJ – New Jersey 101.5 radio shock jock turned political candidate Bill Spadea was in hot water this year after a political action committee run by Kelly Anne Conway launched an ad criticizing him for calling former President Trump a failure.

This week, Trump has forgiven Spadea for his attacks against the former president, or there was some political and financial backstory that we haven’t been told about. The answer will probably be found in the latter.

“You know, people give Trump a lot of credit for going after the deep state. The reality is, he didn’t. He failed. and I’ve said this over and over again now forget about your position on Donald Trump now, but he failed,” Spadea said.

Trump allowed Spadea to interview him this week, as Spadea keeps one foot in his major media job, and the other in a fierce political campaign against Jack Ciatarelli.

“You know I’ve always supported you,” Spadea told Trump.

“You’ve had my back from the beginning,” Trump replied. “I know all about it. That’s why I’m talking to you. I turn down plenty of requests, I will tell you. You had my back, and I appreciate it. You are fantastic.”

Except for those times when he didn’t. In his podcast at the time, Spadea listed three reasons why he thought Trump failed.

“I’ve said this before; President Trump failed. I don’t want him to run again. I know a lot of you’re huge Trump fans. I do not want President Trump to run again. I think it is time for new blood,” Spadea said.

Yesterday, Trump gave Spadea what he needed to stump on being the ‘endorsed’ MAGA candidate in 2025, for now. Spadea’s opponent, Jack Ciattarelli, has also been anti-Trump, calling the former president a “charlatan” who was “unfit to be president”.

Now, both candidates will look to Trump for support in the 2025 election.
