Allegheny County Police Seize 17 Firearms, Marijuana and Cash in Millvale Investigation

Two people were taken into custody after detectives recovered 17 firearms, more than five pounds of marijuana and over $15,000 in cash during a search of a Millvale home.

An ongoing firearms investigation in Millvale led to the seizure of 17 guns, several pounds of marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash, according to the Allegheny County Police Department. Authorities said two suspects, including an adult and a juvenile, were taken into custody following the execution of a search warrant Thursday morning.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a home in the 1000 block of Evergreen Road as part of an ongoing firearms investigation. During the search, detectives recovered 17 firearms, more than five pounds of marijuana and more than $15,000 in cash.

Police highlighted the significance of the seizure in a public announcement, stating, “More than a dozen guns” were removed from the streets as a result of the operation.

Two Taken Into Custody

Damion Tigney Sr. and a juvenile male were taken into custody at the residence without incident, according to investigators. Authorities said Tigney is facing multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance.

Firearms charges against the juvenile were filed through the juvenile court system. Additional details regarding the specific weapons recovered were not immediately released.

Multi-Agency Effort

County police credited several law enforcement and public safety agencies for assisting with the operation. The Allegheny County Police Department thanked Tarentum Police, Millvale Police, Allegheny County Juvenile Probation and the Allegheny County Housing Authority Police for their support.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not indicated whether additional arrests or charges are expected.
