Amazon driver pistol whipped in daylight Oakland attack as suspect hunted
Pittsburgh, PA — A routine delivery turned violent when an Amazon driver was assaulted and pistol whipped in broad daylight, prompting police to search for a suspect caught on camera.
The attack happened around 11:30 a.m. April 12 in the 3300 block of Parkview Avenue in the Oakland neighborhood.
Investigators said the driver was delivering a package when a confrontation escalated, leading to the suspect physically assaulting the victim and striking them with a firearm.
Police believe the incident may have stemmed from a road rage or parking dispute on the street.

The suspect, described as a male wearing a reflective vest, fled the scene and has not been identified.
Pittsburgh Police Zone 4 plainclothes detectives released images of the individual and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
