Gunpoint chain snatch in Bronx leaves victim shaken as suspect flees
Bronx, NY — A woman was robbed at gunpoint in the middle of the afternoon after a suspect approached her on a Bronx street and ripped a chain from her neck before fleeing.
The incident occurred Saturday at approximately 2:30 p.m. in front of 345 St. Ann’s Avenue within the 40th Precinct.
Authorities said a 34-year-old woman was approached by an unidentified male who displayed a firearm during the encounter. The suspect then forcibly removed a chain from her neck.
The individual fled southbound on St. Ann’s Avenue and has not been identified.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing as officials seek information from the public.
