Asbury Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Know Before You Go

ASBURY PARK, N.J. — The Asbury Park Police Department has announced road closures and parking restrictions for the 2025 St. Patrick’s Day Parade, set to take place Sunday, March 9, at 1 p.m. Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes due to extensive closures along the parade route.

The parade will begin at 7th Avenue and Ocean Avenue, traveling south on Ocean Avenue to Asbury Avenue, then west to Kingsley Street, south to Cookman Avenue, and west to Main Street. The “Reviewing Stand” will be at Press Plaza. The parade will then head north on Main Street, left on Bangs Avenue, and conclude in the municipal lot.

Road closures will begin at 10 a.m. with Ocean Avenue shut down from 7th Avenue to 5th Avenue. At noon, Lake Avenue from Main Street to Wesley Lake Drive will be closed except for local traffic. Other closures include the 800 block of Bangs Avenue and Bond Street behind Dunkin’ Donuts. The entire parade route will be closed to vehicular traffic by noon, and Main Street will be shut down between Lake Avenue and Summerfield Avenue at 1 p.m.

Parking restrictions will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. along Press Plaza and Cookman Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Ocean Avenue and Seventh Avenue, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the municipal lot. Vehicles parked within the parade route will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Drivers should anticipate delays and detours throughout the day as the city prepares for one of its most anticipated events of the year.
