Baltimore police seek suspect who struck sergeant while fleeing traffic stop

BALTIMORE, MD — Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect accused of injuring a police sergeant while fleeing from a traffic stop on a three-wheeled motorcycle in Federal Hill early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on August 23 in the 1000 block of South Charles Street. Investigators said the suspect struck a uniformed sergeant while attempting to escape. The officer sustained a leg injury during the encounter.

The suspect was last seen leaving the area on a black Can-Am motorcycle with temporary Virginia license tags.
