Teen shot in Dundalk walks into hospital as police investigate neighborhood gunfire
DUNDALK, MD — A 17-year-old was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday night after walking into a local hospital following a shooting in a residential section of Dundalk, Baltimore County Police confirmed.
Just after 7:25 p.m. on January 14, officers from the Dundalk Precinct responded to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Maple Lane and Carver Road. While securing the scene, police were notified that a teenage male had arrived at a nearby hospital on his own, wounded by gunfire.
The teen’s injuries were not described in detail, and authorities have not released his name. Police have not confirmed whether the shooting occurred at the scene of the initial call or elsewhere in the area.
Baltimore County Police’s Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting, and no arrests have been announced.
