Baltimore kids in stolen car busted after wild police chase

BALTIMORE, Md. — A stolen vehicle investigation in Northeast Baltimore ended with three juveniles in custody after a crash and foot chase Friday afternoon that left several people injured.

The incident began on May 16 when officers located a stolen vehicle in the area of Perring Parkway and McClean Boulevard. As police approached, the juvenile suspects struck two vehicles and crashed, causing injuries to multiple individuals.

Following the collision, the suspects fled on foot into a wooded area near the 5700 block of Perring Parkway. Officers requested aerial support from the police helicopter unit Foxtrot, which located the suspects hiding under trees and bushes.

A 14-year-old male and two 15-year-old males were arrested. Officers recovered a BB gun and a screwdriver from the stolen vehicle.

Suspects released on monitoring

All three juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center and subsequently released on electronic monitoring. Their identities have not been disclosed due to their age.

No information has been released on the conditions of the injured individuals. Police have not stated whether additional charges are expected.

The investigation into the vehicle theft and related collisions remains ongoing.
