New York, NY – Police are searching for four individuals accused of attempting to rob a teenage boy in the Bronx, where a knife was displayed and threats were made during the encounter. The suspects fled empty-handed, and the victim was not reported to have lost any property.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 24, at approximately 5:41 p.m. near the intersection of Mount Eden Parkway and Sheridan Avenue, within the confines of the NYPD’s 44th Precinct. Authorities say the group approached a 15-year-old male and attempted to carry out the robbery.

Knife displayed during confrontation with teen

“On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at approximately 5:41 P.M., in the vicinity of Mount Eden Parkway and Sheridan Avenue, in the confines of the NYPD 44 Precinct, four unidentified individuals approached a 15-year-old male victim,” NYPD Crimestoppers said. “One of the individuals displayed a knife while another individual made verbal threats.”

Despite the threats, the suspects were unsuccessful in taking any property from the victim. Police say the group fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

No arrests have been made, and descriptions of the suspects have not been released.

Police ask for public’s help identifying suspects

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the attempted robbery to come forward as the investigation continues.
