CINNAMINSON, N.J. — A 17-year-old Cherry Hill resident has been arrested after allegedly brandishing a handgun during an altercation with other juveniles in Cinnaminson, police said Friday.

The incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, December 7, in the area of Plantation Drive. Witnesses reported that the juvenile male pulled a handgun from his waistband during a verbal exchange, racked the slide, and brandished the weapon. The incident was reportedly captured on a bystander’s cell phone, and video evidence corroborated the witness statements, according to police.

Following an investigation, Cinnaminson Police Detectives identified the suspect, who is a student in the Cherry Hill Public School District.

On December 12, at approximately 5:00 a.m., a search warrant was executed at the juvenile’s residence by members of the Cinnaminson Township Police Department, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Cherry Hill Police Department. Investigators recovered evidence related to the reported crime during the search.

Authorities have not disclosed the specific charges against the juvenile, citing ongoing legal proceedings.
