Colombian Migrant Accused of Burglary Spree Held Captured in North Jersey, ICE Files Detainer

ALPINE, N.J. — A 21-year-old Colombian migrant accused of burglary, theft, and resisting arrest is now being held without bail in New Jersey while federal immigration authorities also keep a detainer lodged against him, jail records show.

Dylan Andres Carillo Rodriguez was booked Friday, May 15, into the Bergen County Jail system after authorities accused him of breaking into property in Alpine and possessing burglary tools during the alleged crime spree.

Records show Rodriguez, a Colombian national, is currently housed in the jail’s Central housing unit while facing a long list of charges connected to the May 14 arrest.

ICE detainer filed after arrest

Federal immigration authorities placed an ICE detainer on Rodriguez the same day he entered custody, according to jail documents.

The detainer, issued by Immigration and Naturalization Services, means immigration officials requested notification before any potential release from local custody.
