Columbia convenience store sells $570K Multi-Match winner in latest Maryland drawing

COLUMBIA, MD – A Maryland Lottery player is holding a ticket worth $570,000 after matching all six numbers in Thursday night’s Multi-Match drawing, with the winning ticket sold at a Columbia convenience store.

The ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 8251 Snowden River Parkway, earning the Howard County retailer a $1,000 bonus for selling the top-prize winner. The winning numbers drawn April 16 were 2, 6, 8, 12, 29 and 38.

The winner now faces a choice between two payout options: a $570,000 annuity paid in 25 equal annual installments or an estimated $250,000 cash option before taxes.

Recent winners and unclaimed prizes
Thursday’s win marks the second Multi-Match jackpot of the year. It follows a $1.7 million winning ticket from the March 19 drawing, sold at Abell’s Tavern in Callaway in St. Mary’s County. That prize remains unclaimed as of April 17.

Lottery officials advise all winners to sign the back of their ticket immediately and store it in a secure location. Players have 182 days from the drawing date to claim their prize.

Claim process and requirements
Prizes exceeding $25,000 must be claimed through Maryland Lottery headquarters, either by mail or in person. The headquarters is located at the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, in Baltimore. In-person claims require an appointment, with no walk-in service available.

Additional details, including appointment scheduling and claim instructions, are available through the Maryland Lottery’s official website.
