Columbus woman bags half-million lottery jackpot

COLUMBUS, OH — A Columbus resident has claimed the $500,000 top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 50X scratch-off game, marking a major payday from a $10 ticket.

The winning ticket was purchased at Sheetz #822, located at 8555 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg. After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, the winner will receive an estimated $360,000.

Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 50X is a $10 scratch-off game featuring a top prize of $500,000. As of May 21, only one top prize remains in circulation.

This latest win adds to the growing list of high-value scratch-off victories across central Ohio. The Monopoly-themed game is one of several licensed lottery tickets currently offered by the Ohio Lottery.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to public education throughout the state.
