CONEWAGO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A dispute over property lines in Conewago Township escalated into gunfire Sunday evening when a man allegedly shot at his neighbor, triggering a large police response and ending with the suspect taken into custody without incident.
Northern York County Regional Police responded around 6:19 p.m. to the 200 block of Locust Point Road after receiving reports of shots fired. Investigators said the victim told officers he was standing on his own property when his neighbor opened fire during an argument tied to a boundary dispute.

Police said the victim ran back inside his residence and called 911 after the shots were fired. No injuries were reported.
Officers later contacted the suspected shooter by phone before taking him into custody peacefully at the scene, according to the Northern York County Regional Police Department.
Property Dispute Turns Violent
Investigators identified the suspect as 44-year-old Paul D. Inman.
Police charged Inman with:
- Two counts of aggravated assault
- Two counts of simple assault
- Recklessly endangering another person
- Harassment
Authorities did not say how many shots were fired or whether bullets struck nearby homes or property.
The incident unfolded in a residential section of Conewago Township, where what began as a disagreement between neighbors quickly escalated into a criminal investigation involving firearms.
