NEWARK, N.J. — Women across New Jersey are threatening the men in their lives to vote for Kamala Harris, or else. That’s what one U.S. Senator is claiming today.
U.S. Senator Cory Booker emphasized the growing influence of women voters in shaping the political landscape, noting their higher voter turnout and impact on household voting decisions. Speaking recently about the upcoming election, Booker underscored how women are not only outvoting men but also influencing the choices of male voters.
“Women are doing it. They’re outvoting men. They’re voting in greater numbers. They’re leading, I think, households in many ways,” Booker said. He shared anecdotes from constituents, adding, “I’ve seen already experiences where I have guys come up to me and say, ‘I really have no choice. My girlfriend will kill me. My wife will kill me if I don’t vote for Kamala Harris.'”
Booker’s comments reflect national trends indicating that women continue to participate in elections at higher rates than men, potentially giving them increased influence over key issues.
