LANCASTER, Pa. — A months-long investigation led to the arrest of a Lancaster city man accused of selling cocaine and illegal firearms, including a loaded ghost gun, to undercover operatives.
Dwain Stewart London Jr., 38, of the 300 block of Broad Street, was taken into custody May 14 in Manor Township. Authorities recovered a loaded handgun, 35 grams of crack cocaine worth $3,500, oxycodone pills, and over $1,000 in cash at the time of his arrest.
London faces multiple drug and weapons charges, including two counts of person not to possess a firearm, illegal sale of a firearm, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and oxycodone. The Lancaster County Drug Task Force, working with the ATF Philadelphia Field Division and the Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, led the investigation.
Officials say the operation began in September and involved London selling cocaine and a loaded ghost gun pistol to confidential informants and undercover agents. All purchases were arranged through his cellphone and used pre-recorded funds supplied by law enforcement.
Because of a prior felony conviction, London is legally prohibited from possessing or selling firearms.
No bail for gun charges in Lancaster County arrest
London was denied bail by Judge Joshua Keller on charges related to the sale of firearms. He remains in Lancaster County Prison and is also being held on $100,000 cash bail for drug and weapons possession charges, set by Judge Mary Sponaugle.
Charges were filed by Lancaster County Detectives following the coordinated arrest effort.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
