CRANFORD, NJ — Three people were arrested on driving while intoxicated charges and two others were charged with possession offenses during a series of traffic stops reported by Cranford police.
A North Avenue traffic stop at 12:15 a.m. Aug. 17 led Officer Zion Hamilton to arrest Arold Aladin, 40, of West Orange, on a DWI charge. Aladin received seven motor vehicle summonses and was released pending a Municipal Court date.
Michael Vintzileos, 44, of North Plainfield, was charged with disorderly conduct Aug. 19 following an incident reported at 8:45 p.m. the previous day inside the Cranford Municipal Building. Lieutenant Ryan Gerrity issued Vintzileos a Municipal Court date.
During a suspicious-vehicle investigation on Eastman Street at 1:40 a.m. Aug. 20, Officer Matthew Richel arrested Nikola Haboj, 32, of Cranford, on a DWI charge. Haboj received seven motor vehicle summonses and was released pending a Municipal Court date.
Another DWI arrest followed a traffic stop on Centennial Avenue at 7:36 p.m. Aug. 26. Officer Rameil King arrested Kevin Landrum, 36, of Rahway, who received six motor vehicle summonses and was released pending a Municipal Court date.
Centennial Avenue was also the location of a traffic stop at 1:37 p.m. Aug. 29 that resulted in the arrest of Aaron Texidor, 33, of Linden. King charged Texidor with possession of controlled dangerous substances. Texidor received two motor vehicle summonses and was released pending a Superior Court date.
The final reported arrest occurred at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 30 during another Centennial Avenue traffic stop. Officer Brian Bruns arrested Robert Riggi, 33, of Winfield Park, on a controlled dangerous substances possession charge. Riggi was released pending a Superior Court date.
