UTICA, NY — Drivers in Utica should prepare for a four-week ramp closure along the State Route 5/8/12 arterial, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
The southbound entrance ramp connecting Burrstone Road to the arterial will close at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8. The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
The ramp is being closed to allow crews to perform maintenance work.
Motorists should use French Road as the designated detour and allow additional travel time through the area.
Transportation officials reminded drivers to slow down and move over when approaching highway workers.
