Deadly stabbing in North Braddock leads to homicide arrest

NORTH BRADDOCK, PA – A late-night stabbing in a residential neighborhood left a man dead and led to a homicide charge after investigators identified a suspect through witness accounts.

The incident occurred around 9:11 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of 4th Street, where officers responded to reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.

The victim, identified as 38-year-old Charles Pullie, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit took over the investigation.

Detectives said witness interviews led them to identify 57-year-old Carl Harrison of Wilkinsburg as the suspect. He has been charged with criminal homicide.

Harrison was taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail, where he is being held pending preliminary arraignment.

The investigation remains ongoing.
