Two men shot in Northeast DC as police search for four suspects

Washington, DC — Two men were hospitalized Sunday night after being shot in a Northeast neighborhood, as D.C. police search for four men believed to be connected to the gunfire.

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Benning Road NE shortly after 9:15 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they discovered two adult male victims with gunshot wounds. Both men were conscious and breathing at the scene before being transported to a hospital by medics. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, investigators are actively looking for four male suspects. Two were reportedly dressed in all black, while the other two wore dark-colored tops and light pants. The motive behind the shooting has not been released.
