LOTHIAN, MD – A single-vehicle accident occurred on Tuesday, at around 2:10 p.m. on southbound Route 4 near Lower Pindell Road in Lothian.
The Southern District Police Department reported that a 2018 Toyota Yaris veered off the road for unknown reasons and collided with a tree.
The car was driven by Shaela Rene McCray, a 23-year-old from Lusby, Maryland. Calvert County Fire officials pronounced McCray deceased at the scene. The Traffic Safety Section is currently investigating the crash.
