Five arrested in Camden County child abuse material crackdown
Camden County, NJ – A monthlong cyber investigation quietly unfolded across South Jersey before ending with five arrests tied to child sexual abuse material, authorities said, as multiple suspects were taken into custody following coordinated law enforcement efforts in January.
Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay announced that the arrests stemmed from investigations by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit, working alongside local police departments and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office. The cases were initiated through cyber tips that led investigators to online accounts allegedly used to possess or distribute child sexual abuse material.
Those arrested include Brayan Lector-Luna, 22, of Oaklyn; Christopher Zubrzycki, 27, of Philadelphia; Ethan Byrne, 20, of Gloucester Township; Julian Rovaggi, 18, of Berlin Borough; and Jayvon Velazquez, 19, of Gloucester Township.
Prosecutors said Lector-Luna was charged with multiple second- and third-degree offenses, including distribution and possession with intent to distribute child sexual abuse material, after investigators linked him to an online account and found additional material on his phone. He was arrested January 14 in Oaklyn and later charged again following further investigation.
