Bronx, NY – A quick moment on a busy sidewalk turned into a sudden theft when a woman lost her phone to a brazen grab in front of a residential block in the South Bronx, a case now under investigation.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, when a 40-year-old woman was standing outside 538 East 149th Street within the confines of the 40th Precinct. An unidentified individual approached and snatched the victim’s cell phone directly from her hand.

The suspect fled eastbound on East 149th Street on foot and was not immediately apprehended. No injuries were reported.
