Ellijay, GA – A Georgia man accused of participating in the breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, was recently arrested along with his two adult sons. William Gallagher, 55, James Gallagher, 22, and Thomas Gallagher, 25, were taken into custody in Ellijay, Georgia, roughly two hours north of Atlanta.
The arrest followed years of investigation by the FBI, with William Gallagher reportedly greeting agents by saying, “I’ve been waiting for you guys.”
Initial attempts to interview Gallagher shortly after the Capitol attack were rebuffed, but he was later positively identified by an employee of the community where the Gallaghers reside.
