Glen Burnie Man Strikes Gold with Scratch-off

Glen Burnie, MD – A Glen Burnie resident’s last-minute decision at Live! Casino & Hotel turned into a $50,000 windfall when he won the top prize on a ‘Lots of Cash’ scratch-off ticket.

The Anne Arundel County local, a retired maintenance worker and a loyal lottery player for 47 years, felt a stroke of luck on the Fourth of July. Despite initial losses at the casino, his fortune turned as he was leaving when he decided to buy a scratch-off from an onsite Lottery kiosk.

After taking the $5 ticket home, he discovered he had won the $50,000 top prize by matching the winning number of 30. The joyful news prompted celebrations with his wife as they both jumped up and down with excitement. The winner plans to use his newfound wealth to pay off bills.

Live! Casino & Hotel in Hanover, where the ticket was purchased, will also receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
