Utica man arrested after police seize fentanyl and cash in Gold Street drug raid
Utica, NY – A 39-year-old Utica man is facing multiple felony drug charges after police executed a search warrant at a Gold Street residence and uncovered a stash of fentanyl and cash tied to narcotics sales.
On November 24, investigators with the Utica Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, assisted by the Warrants Unit and patrol officers, conducted a search at 137 Gold Street in connection to an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Inside the residence, officers recovered what they described as a felony quantity of fentanyl, along with cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Manuel Lopez-Ramos, the target of the investigation, was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Utica Police Department. He has been charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree
The investigation is ongoing and police did not disclose the exact amount of drugs or cash recovered.
