Greenbelt, MD – Christopher Goggins is one step closer to realizing his dream of winning $1 million in the NASCAR Powerball Playoff™ promotion, having advanced to the Round of 8.

The Greenbelt resident is guaranteed to win at least $7,500 and is now in contention for a VIP trip for two to NASCAR Championship Weekend™ at Phoenix Raceway® and entry into a nationally televised drawing for the grand prize of $1 million.

Powerball® and NASCAR® announced Goggins and seven others would advance during the Bank of America ROVAL™ 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, October 13.

Goggins is now aiming to reach the Championship 4, with the four winners set to be revealed on Sunday, November 3, during the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, VA. The four players who do not advance from the Round of 8 will each receive $7,500.
