House guests accused of draining elderly man’s credit cards while he lay hospitalized

Police say pair racked up more than $14K in purchases and used victim’s vehicle during alleged scheme

NORTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Two men are accused of exploiting an elderly Pennsylvania resident by making more than $14,000 in unauthorized purchases while the victim was hospitalized, according to investigators.

North Huntingdon Township Police filed charges against Jason Fox and Todd Quiggle following an investigation into suspicious activity involving the victim’s credit cards.

The allegations came to light after the victim’s power of attorney discovered unusually high balances on several credit card accounts and contacted police.

Investigators said the victim had been hospitalized since February 2026. Authorities were told that Fox and Quiggle previously had access to the victim’s residence and had lived there at various times.

Police reviewed banking records and determined that more than $14,134 in allegedly fraudulent charges were made between March and May 2026.

According to investigators, surveillance footage obtained from multiple businesses showed the two suspects making purchases using the victim’s credit cards.

Authorities also reported obtaining video that allegedly showed the suspects using the victim’s vehicle.

Fox and Quiggle have been charged with access device fraud, financial exploitation of an older adult and criminal conspiracy.

The charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
