Jackson, NJ – In response to the growing concerns of Jackson Township residents over the state of county roads, local officials are set to meet with representatives from the Ocean County Engineering Department. Jackson Township Council President Jennifer Kuhn, Councilman Mordechai Burnstein, and Mayor Michael Reina have scheduled a meeting this week to address these issues.
Councilwoman Kuhn emphasized the importance of this meeting, stating, “The residents have brought their general concerns to our attention and we are bringing them to the county. These are county roads and out of the jurisdiction of Jackson Township to perform the work or make the changes requested.”
The meeting aims to conduct a comprehensive review and study of each issue raised by residents. Both county and township officials will work collaboratively to identify potential solutions and establish a feasible timeline for implementing the necessary changes.
Mayor Reina expressed optimism about the upcoming discussions, citing the county’s past responsiveness and cooperation. “After we identify what can be fixed and how, we are hoping to work with the county to put together a realistic schedule on making the changes we’re requesting,” he said.
Councilman Burnstein also acknowledged the county’s supportive stance in past initiatives, referencing the installation of a new traffic light at the intersection of County Line Road and Brookwood Parkway. He added, “County officials have been very receptive to our needs in the past, and we thank them for giving us an opportunity to continue making sure the concerns of Jackson residents are heard by the county.”
