Unable to rally a majority vote in the U.S. Senate, President Joe Biden said that he will try again in the future to pass a voting rights reform bill. The statement came after the president met with Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema Thursday night at the White House.
Both Democrats told the President they will not support the bill, killing it. Biden said. “I hope we can get this done, is this mic on? I’m not sure we can get this done. Like every other major civil rights bill that came along, if we miss the first time we can come back a second time around.”
Biden then admitted defeat in the first round.
“We missed this time,” Biden said. Biden then went into his “Get off my lawn” angry old man routine claiming states changing voting laws is voter suppression.
