He noted that the candidates avoided discussing pressing topics such as wages, housing, and systemic corruption, instead focusing on Reagan-era talking points like spending cuts, drug policy, and international relations.
Kennedy highlighted the candidates’ lack of attention to the systemic issues that are eroding the middle class, and their unwillingness to provide innovative solutions for infrastructure and environmental decay. He encouraged shifting the focus to popular will and unity, citing Oliver Anthony’s song as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue that could help turn the country around.
