A 34-year-old man has died following a stabbing late Monday night in Southeast Baltimore, prompting a homicide investigation, police said.
Just before 11:30 p.m., Southeast District officers responded to an area hospital after receiving a report of a walk-in stabbing victim. The man had suffered life-threatening stab wounds and, despite life-saving efforts by medical staff, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Detectives determined that the stabbing took place in the 1800 block of Portal Street, though no suspect has been identified at this time.
The identity of the victim has not been released, and investigators are continuing to gather details surrounding the circumstances of the attack.
