A 56-year-old man was found with a fatal stab wound in Northwest DC, and investigators are offering up to a $25,000 reward for information.

WASHINGTON, DC — A 56-year-old man was found stabbed to death early Saturday on 14th Street in Northwest DC, prompting a homicide investigation and a search for the person responsible.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded at approximately 12:52 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, to the 2900 block of 14th Street, Northwest, for a reported stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a puncture wound.

DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and determined the man showed no signs consistent with life. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the victim as 56-year-old Charles Sharp of Northwest DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking anyone with information about the homicide to call (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411.

MPD is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the killing.
