Baltimore, MD — A 43-year-old man was fatally shot inside a Northwest Baltimore home early Thursday morning, prompting a homicide investigation as police search for leads.

Just after 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 2400 block of Elsinore Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
