April 28, 2025
A domestic attack in Abingdon has triggered a multi-agency manhunt for a fugitive suspect accused of viciously stabbing five family members.

ABINGDON, MD — Harford County authorities are searching for a man accused of stabbing multiple family members, including two young children, during a domestic incident early Sunday morning.

Deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded around 7:15 a.m. on April 27, 2025, to a home in the 400 block of Deerhill Circle. Upon arrival, they found two victims outside and three inside the residence. Five individuals — Zeenat Jahan, 19; Rehana Rashid, 66; Sana Zahid, 36; an 8-month-old child; and a 2-year-old child — were injured and transported to hospitals, with two victims flown by helicopter to a trauma center. All are reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Raja Zahid Maqsood, allegedly attacked the victims inside the home before fleeing. Authorities confirmed that the motive appears domestic in nature, and the attack is not believed to be random.
