Gaithersburg woman stunned after new lottery ticket delivers $50K win
GAITHERSBURG, Md. — A Maryland woman chasing the newest scratch-off games hit a $50,000 prize after buying a recently released Rose Gold ticket during a stop at a Montgomery County store.
The Gaithersburg resident, described by lottery officials as a frequent scratch-off player, purchased the winning $10 ticket at Redmill Beer & Wine located at 7248 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood.
According to the Maryland Lottery, the woman stopped at the store after leaving work and scratched the ticket shortly afterward.
She discovered one of her numbers matched a winning number tied to a $50,000 prize.

Lottery officials said the woman immediately shared the news with family members after realizing she had won.

Lottery officials said this marks the first claimed $50,000 prize connected to the game. Three additional $50,000 prizes remain unclaimed, along with seven top prizes worth $100,000.
