MAX MEADOWS, VA — Frankye Reavis was left speechless after hitting the $148,722 jackpot while playing the Virginia Lottery’s Castle of Crystals online instant game on her phone.

The Castle of Crystals jackpot grows as more players participate, and the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.99. Reavis, who lives in Wythe County, claimed the massive prize from one of the many online games available on the Virginia Lottery app and website.

Wythe County, where Reavis resides, received more than $3.9 million in Lottery profits for K-12 education in the last fiscal year. Overall, the Virginia Lottery contributed more than $934 million to public education statewide in Fiscal Year 2024, accounting for 10% of the state’s K-12 school budget.

Virginia residents can play a variety of Lottery games online, including Powerball, Mega Millions, and Pick 5, as long as they are 18 years or older and physically located in the state.
