CHEVERLY, Md. — A Mega Millions ticket worth $20,000 was sold at Landover Liquors in Prince George’s County for the June 17 drawing, Maryland Lottery officials confirmed Wednesday.

The third-tier winning ticket was purchased at 6504 Landover Road in Cheverly. It matched four out of five white balls — 16, 23, 39, 46, and 55 — plus the Mega Ball 12. The win was doubled to $20,000 thanks to the new automatic multiplier feature, which applied a 2X boost to what would have previously been a $10,000 prize.

The Mega Millions game now applies a random multiplier to non-jackpot prizes between 2X and 10X, depending on the draw.

There was no jackpot winner for the June 17 draw, and the top prize has risen to an estimated annuity of $302 million, with a cash option of $136 million available in Friday’s upcoming drawing.

Lottery officials advise winners to sign the back of their tickets and store them securely. Prizes must be claimed within 182 days of the drawing date.
