BALTIMORE, Md. — A 39-year-old man was hospitalized Sunday evening after being shot in the leg on North Montford Avenue, as detectives investigate the latest act of gun violence in the Southeast District.

At approximately 6:46 p.m. on April 20, officers responded to the 200 block of North Montford Avenue following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his leg.

Medics transported the man to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. His identity has not been released, and police have not disclosed any suspect details.

Southeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and have taken over the investigation. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
