The emergency, prompted by severe weather conditions, was formally ended with the signing of Executive Order No. 365. This action came into effect across all 21 counties in New Jersey at 5:00 p.m. last Sunday.

The State of Emergency was initially instituted through Executive Order No. 364. This swift measure by Governor Murphy aimed to mobilize state resources effectively to address the impacts of the severe weather. The conclusion of the emergency status reflects the stabilization of conditions throughout the state.

Residents and local governments had been under heightened alert since the declaration, coordinating closely with state emergency services to mitigate the weather’s effects.
