New York City Parks Employee Facing Over a Dozen Criminal Charges

On the afternoon of Saturday, August 3, 2024, an off-duty employee of New York City’s Parks Department was arrested under multiple charges in the area covered by the 113th Precinct. Joseph Hebrons, a 32-year-old male, faced a series of allegations that included first-degree reckless endangerment and obstruction of government administration in the second degree.

The arrest also listed charges of aggravated harassment in the second degree and fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree among other accusations.

Hebrons, who was additionally cited for criminal mischief, harassment in the first degree, and menacing in the third degree, was found operating a bicycle on the sidewalk, an act that is in violation of local laws.

His arrest also included charges for disorderly conduct, the use of improper license plates, driving without a valid license, and imprudent speed.

The specifics of the incident leading to these charges have not been fully disclosed, but the variety of charges suggests a complex interaction with law enforcement.

NYPD has not issued any further statements on the matter.
