NEW YORK, NY — Early Saturday morning, the New York City Police Department responded to a scene at 2211 Frederick Douglas Boulevard. Officers arrived at approximately 3:15 AM following a 911 call reporting an unconscious male at the location.
Upon arrival, police found a 40-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with head trauma. Emergency Medical Services promptly transported the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he was pronounced dead.
Victor Springer, a 35-year-old resident of New York, has been taken into custody as a person of interest in connection with the incident. He is currently charged with second-degree murder.
The cause of death is pending determination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
