NEWARK, NJ – Police are asking for the public’s help locating a 22-year-old Newark woman wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of November 16.

Torrain Jonelle Walker, 22, is being sought by detectives investigating a gunfire incident that was detected at approximately 4:52 a.m. by the city’s ShotSpotter system. The report directed officers to Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard near Bloomfield Avenue, where police recovered three 9mm shell casings.

No injuries were reported at the scene, and no suspects have been charged at this time. Authorities are treating the matter as an ongoing investigation and believe Walker may have information related to the case.
