North Merrick, N.Y. — A top-prize winning ticket for the August 26 TAKE 5 MIDDAY drawing was sold in North Merrick, according to the New York Lottery. The ticket, worth $17,145, was purchased at Fast Break Food Store, located at 1066 Merrick Ave.
TAKE 5 numbers are selected from a pool of one through 39, with drawings held twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
The Fast Break Food Store will receive a bonus for selling the winning ticket. The identity of the lucky winner has not yet been revealed.
