Queens, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an assault that left a 16-year-old boy injured at the Seneca Avenue subway station on Monday afternoon.
Police said the incident happened around 3 p.m. on January 19, 2026, when the victim was standing at the station entrance. An unknown man began arguing with the teen before slashing him in the back of the head with an unidentified object and fleeing the station on foot.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to recover. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and canvassing the area as the search for the suspect continues.
