Ohio lottery player wins $50k with powerball ticket from kroger — money

Winning ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball.

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio — An Ohio Lottery player is celebrating a $50K Powerball win after a ticket sold at a Kroger store matched four white balls and the Powerball in Wednesday night’s drawing.

Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at The Kroger Co. #820, 855 Coshocton Ave. in Mount Vernon.

The ticket belonged to a resident of Crown City in Gallia County and matched four white balls plus the Powerball to win $50,000.

The winning numbers for the July 15 drawing were 2, 7, 18, 29, 38, with Powerball 16.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the odds of matching four white balls and the Powerball are 1 in 913,129.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with ticket sales closing at 10 p.m. before each drawing.
